    There are quite a few avenues for the funding of outdoor classroom projects. The majority of grants are small ($500 or less), although a number of regional and national agencies offer substantial grants ($5,000 to $25,000+) to fund entire programs.     The Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF)

    The Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) provides dollar-for-dollar matching grants to local governments for parks and recreational projects to serve the public. PARTF is the primary source of funding to build and renovate facilities in the state parks as well as to buy land for new and existing parks.

    Ohio

    Local governments can apply for up to 75 percent reimbursement grants (state funding) for acquisition, development, or rehabilitation of public park and recreation areas. The agency must have proper control (title or at least a 15-year non-revocable lease) to be eligible for a development or rehabilitation grant. All projects must be completed within one-and-a-half to two years.

    Costal Management Assistance

    Metro Nature in Neighborhoods Capital Grants (Portland)
