Design & Build

Sprout by Design builds urban farms, gardens, greenhouses, green walls green fences, composting systems, chicken coops, and educational playgrounds for individuals of all ages and abilities.

 

Workshops

We pair these build structures with fun, hands-on workshops and curricula that use nature as a practical tool to teach design-build principles, STEM standards, and broader concepts like problem solving, healthy eating, and environmental stewardship. Urban farming workshops include gardening, hydroponics, composting, and chicken hatching. In addition to having great educational impact, these activities have calming, developmental, and therapeutic benefits.

 

Staff Training & Lesson Plans

We offer staff training and professional development for each program we create. We also have a year-round Urban Farming Curriculum called The Adventure of Taryn and her Friends  for preschools. 

 

Maintenance

Thoughtful support, especially recommended for the first year, will ensure your initiative grows successfully & continues on independently for years to come.

Don't have green space? Don't worry. Experience has taught Sprout to be crafty. They work in classrooms, residences, offices, vacant lots, school parking lots, community gardens, and rooftops.
